Hometown Pet Care Center has been at its original location at 827 Sebastian Blvd in Sebastian, Florida since 1995. It was founded by Dr. Eric Wilsnack, who did most of the building renovations himself. He has been practicing for over 30 years having graduated in 1984 from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. It was in his schooling in the mountains of Virginia and his early career in the rural Maryland countryside that he developed his friendly, low-key bedside manner.

Dr. Wilsnack has always been committed to keeping the practice small and friendly and vows to be " the only veterinarian you'll ever consult here." He prefers and insist that staff and clients alike address him simply as "Eric" he is a family man with eight children ranging in age from two to thirty years.

As a team Eric and staff were proud that Hometown Pet Care Center was voted "Best Veterinary Clinic " in 2014 by the Sebastian readers of Hometown News.
